Youth Week

This week is youth week and JOY is an official media partner of National Youth Week, so there'll be plenty of youthful and exciting content.

Stay tuned to JOY to hear Coming Out stories throughout the week, our shows will be guest presented by young people from around the station and we'll also have two outside broadcasts.

Today (Tuesday the 31st of March) between 2pm and 4pm we'll be broadcasting live from Monash Uni's Caulfield campus with plenty of guests including Hannah Gadsby and Otto from Die Roten Punkte.

Friday the 3rd of March between 12pm and 2pm we'll be live from Princes Hill Secondary College with guest Tom Ballard.

Podcast highlights: Chris interviews UK comedian, activist, broadcaster- Liz Carr, The Hump Day Crew catch up with Matt Werkmeister from Neighbours and Technogaze talk Home Entertainment.

We've got something for everyone


Here at JOY we try and arrange something for everyone, and that extends to our interviews. This Monday we've got the perfect example of that. At 11:20am Gordon will be joined by Mark Wilson the director of Doorslam Productions latest show, Inside the Island.



Later on in the day Chris will have Danny McGinlay drop in at 1:20pm to talk about his Comedy Festival show, Food Dude that'll be on at Comedy at Trades.


On the phone at 2:20pm, Shaynna Blaze from Selling Houses Australia will be giving Chris some tips on interior design, talking about her show, and her career.

What's Happening at JOY

Tuesday the 17th of March.

Tune in at Brekkie time with Jase and Taryn, they'll be having a chat to comedian Cameron Knight at 7:20, who is combining cycling and comedy to raise funds for cancer.

Just past 11am and Gary will be joined by Maude Davey and Sarah Ward from Melbourne Worker's Theatre for a chat about their upcoming Survival Sessions series.

And then at 1:20pm Michael will be having joined on the phone by Sally Goldner who is a part of the Coming Out Late Panel during Melbourne Queer Film Festival.

You also might want to swing by and get a podcast...a hot tip on a worthwhile listen is The Petri Dish podcast who take us on a ride through the world of diets with a science spin.
